If Europe is to flourish and create the jobs of the future, enterprise is the key. And that means recognising the burden on their resources of the world role they undertake and their point that their allies should bear the full part of the defence of freedom, particularly as Europe grows wealthier. Our coastal shipping trade is open to the merchant navies of Europe.
